On Wednesday, February 13, Donka’s board of directors selected Rhonda Pavicich its new president. Rhonda will take over for MaryBeth Marshall who served as Donka’s president for six years.

Rhonda began serving on Donka’s board in 2015 and began volunteering in 2014 after learning about our special training program.

“Donka caught my eye on the Volunteer DuPage site because of its unique service based on assistive technology and computer training, states Rhonda. What drew me in, though, was the caring and passion I felt from the staff and teachers. What blew me away was their dedication for finding tech and tailoring training for each person in need. The positive, “can do” attitudes of students is amazing. I knew from day one that I wanted to be part of this.”

In addition to her volunteering on the board, Rhonda, who is a seasoned marketing professional, helps Donka with our communication and outreach efforts. Currently, she is part of a committee advising the development of Donka’s new website and rebranding efforts.

Under her tenure as board president, Rhonda indicates she would like to expand Donka’s community recognition: “I’d love to see Donka grow and be discovered by more people in need of learning how assistive technology and adaptive computer training can help them enhance their abilities in achieving their goals. I feel like we’re a “best kept secret” that needs to be shared.”

Rhonda and her husband are longtime Wheaton residents and have an adult son and teenage daughter.
